Bates'general weather forecast:— An extensive area of low pressure isadvancing towards New Zealand from' the westward, and the barometer willprobably fall everywhere, but especially in the south. Cloudy and unsettled weather is probable in the next few days, with increasing northerly winds in all parts. The barometer will probably be lowest on Thursday.
