The Australia-Derbyshire cricket match was resumed at Derby this morning. At the start the weatherwas sunny, and the wicket fast. There was only a moderate attendance. Trumper and Hiopkins the Australians' innings, in which 217 had been scored on the previous, day for the loss of four wickets. % Trumper added thirteen to his overnight score, and was then taken; by Humphries in Morton's second over. He gave a half-chance to> Humphries at back-stop at 20, otherwise his innings was a perfect display of brilliant cutting and leg hitting. He hit seventeen fours, and' 1 batted altogether 125 minutes. Five for 230. i Hartigan went at 245, and Carter five runs later. . Hopkins waseighty minutes at the wickets, then, Warren found his way in. He a faultless game. Eight for 252.
