A mild "rush" occurred in the vicinity of Flowery Craek the other day, says the Greymouth correspondent of the "Lytteltor, Times." For some years past Sullivan and party have been holding a prospecting area near Gillam's Gully. Some time ago they secured the contract for an extension of the drainage tunnel, and some weeks ago they struck payable wash. They have now pegged out six acres, to which they are entitled, and some of the wash is reported to have gone up to a pennyweight to the dish. Mereweather and party pegged out the claim on tha supposed line of lead, and on Friday some seven or eight other claims were marked off. The present field is adjacent to the old Kelly's Terrace workings, good gold in that claim having been lost through water forcing the miners to leave the workings some time after the lead had beon lost, the trucks and tools having then to be abandoned. It will take pome time, probably tour or five months, to prove the extent and value of the present find, us the ground is over 80ft deep, and it will be necessary to sink shafts and then connect with the drainage •tunnel before this can be effected. Mrs Sarah Mcßurnoy, Upper Hutfc, H.Z., says: "Chamberlain's Cough Eem•edy is the best medicine for croup in children that is made. I have no fear in recommending it, as, after a lengthy trial, I have found it to have no bad effect. Have used it for years, and will have no other. All my friends say the -same." For sale by all chemists and storekeepers.
