OBITUARY.
SIR FREDERICK HOLDER. Received July 23, 11 p.m. MELBOURNE, July 23. Sir Frederick Holder, Speaker of the House of Kepresentatives, was seized with a illness in the House. He had just previously vacated the chair, and while talking to thi Minister for Home Affairs, fell forward on the floor of the House. Several medical members immediately rendered assistance, and he was removed to his room, suffering from hemmorhage of the bniin. The House immediately adjourned. SirF redreick had been in the room most of-the night, while members were wrangling in Committee over the Old Age Pensions Bill. For several days he had been disturbed over the way many of the members were conducting themselves. The difficulty which he had experienced in maintaining order had been continual, and the persistency in which the proceedings had been interrupted had an irritating effect upon him. Sir Frederick lingered until late this afternoon, when he expired.
