The High Commissioner cables from London, under date July 21st as lows:--The wool sales closed with competition not quite so keen as at the close of the May sales. Americans are not buying so freely, pux-chasing orly light fine grades. Consumption is large and supplies will be moderate, so prospects are favourable. Estimated value, according to condition—Superior Merinos, Is to Is 2d; medium Merinos.. lOd to ll|d; inferior Merinos. 8d to 9£d; fine crossbreds, all grades, Is to Is 2£d; medium all grades, lOd to Is Id; coarse crossbreds, all grades, 7d to lljd.
