FEDERAL SMALL ARMS FACTORY.
AN AMERICAN TENDER ' ACCEPTED. Received July 20, 1.10 a.fai. MELBOURNE, July 19. The Federal Government has accepted the tender of Pratt, Whitney and Company, an American firm, for £68,000 for the erection of a small arms factory. The work 13 to be completed in twelve months. There were several English tenders higher than the American firm. The, English firms required from 2 to years to complete the contract.
