The inquest on John Cummings, platelayer, aged 47 years, a widower with seven children, who was killed on Saturday on the railway linaxbetween Ngahauranga and Petone, was concluded to-day. The coroner fcu.,d "that death was brought about by the deceased, who for some reason of his own cro3sad the line without being aware of the train approaching, and that he wa3 run into accidentally when he was in such a position that neither driver nor fireman c:>uid see him. no blame being attachable to them."
