STOCK MARKET.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report of their fortnightly stock sate, on Wednesday, as follows:—Despite the, unfavourable weather prevailing, we had a fair yarding in sheep, and the quality being good, we were enable# to make a clearance under the hammer at rates showing an advance on previous maikets. Best hoggets made 10s 6d, good 10s, medium Bs, culls to 6s, store wethers lis 9d, ewes in lamb 12b.. Cattle at late market rates. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their fortnightly sale at Eketahuna yesterday:— We had 1 Only a medium entry of sheep, but the cattle pens were well filled. Sheep sold well at advanced prices. Cattle sold at late rates. We quote:—Two tooth wethers, lis 2d to 12s 6d; 2 tooth to fm ewes in lamb, lis 9d. Cattle. —'Three year old steers, £3 10s to £4 4s; yearling steers, £2 15s; empty heiiers, to £2; bulls, to £1 10s, mixed yearlings, 15s to 255.
