WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. Yesterday saw the conclusion of this year's fixtures under the auspices of the Wairarapa Hockey Association, Carterton being the winners of the senior competition. That Club also wins the "Major Cup" outright. Knox are the leading team in the- junior competition, and they hold the "Booth Cup" for a year. Yesterday's results were as follow: SENIOR. CARTERTON v. W.F.C.A. At Carterton yesterday, Carterton proved victorious over W.F.C.A. to the tune of 7 goals to nil. For the winners J. E. Fisher (2;, Tunnicliffe (2), Reid (2), and King scored goals. Mr O'Mcava was referee*. JUNIORS. KNOX v. CARTERTON A. At the Showgrounds yesterday, 'Knox juniors had a very substantial win over Carterton A juniors by 6 goals to 2 goals. For Knox Boyd (3), Harding (2), and Berry were the scorers, while F. Fairbrother and A. Dudson notched Carterton's goals. Mr Mcintosh controlled the game. W.F.C.A. v. CARTERTON B. Carterton B being unable to get a team away forfeited to W.F.C.A. Juniors yesterday. 1 The following are the positions of the clubs in the various cornpettitions this season : SENIOR. A match was played on the Showgrounds, yesterday afternoon, for the Age Cup, between the Huia and Rambler Clubs. There was no score in the first spell, play being slow. In the second half the game was of a more open nature, and far more interesting. Ramblers had all the best of the play, and won by two goals (scored by Misses Easthope and Kyle) to nil. Mr B. Iveson was referee.
