MUNICIPAL STRIKE AT BROKEN HILL. MAYOR'S ILL-JUDGED ACTION. United.Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copvriunt. Received July 13, 10.40 a.m. SYDNEY, Juiy 13. A municipal strike occurrel at Broken Hill f hrough the action of the Mayor in displacing eight single men to make way for a similar number of. unemployed married men. The Municipal Employees' Association ordered a strike, with the result that all the civic services, ineluding the eiactric lighting, were suspended. The Mayor then reversed his action, and work was resumed.
