Received July 12, 8.55 a.m. PARIS, July 11. Three ringleaders of a gang confessing to having committed fourteen brutal murders have been sentenced to death at the Valence (Drome) Assizes, in France. The evidence showed that the gang thrust the feet of their victims into a fire to comp 1 them to reveal where their money was kept.
