AUSTRALIA v. WORCESTER. GOOD BATTINH BY VISITORS. Received July 9, 11.5 a.m. LONDON, July 8. A match between the Australian cricketers and a Worcestershire eleven began-this morning at Worcester. The weather, was fine, with bright sunshine, and the wicket was guod. The teams were composed as follows: — Australia . Carter, M'Alister, Trumpet", Noble, Gregory, Armstrong, Bardsley, Ransford, Cotter, O'Connor, and Hopkins. Worcestershire. —H. K. and W. C. Foster, G. H Simpson-Hay ward, H. G. Bache, W. B. The Australian captain won the toss, and Macalister and Bardsley opened the visitors' innings. They were soon busy, and knocked up 50 in forty-five minutes, despite three bowling changes. He batted for 210 minutes, playing an excellent, chanceless, free, and finished innings, during which he hit fifteen 4's. He made his century In 170 minutes. Six for 286.
