AN INVERCARGILL PROPOSAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, July 9. At a meeting of the Town Council and other local bodies to-night, it was resolved to recommend the various local bodies to ask the ratepayers for £75,000 to instal a system of electric tramways provided Sir J. G. Waid, the holder of the concession, accepts £II,OOO for his rights. "
