STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale held on Wednesday last as follows : _i n sheep the yarding was small, consisting principally of ewes in lamb and hogset3, all lots selling at market rates. In cattle we submitted several lots of prime cow and heifer beef. Prices bid, however, were not up to owners' ideas of value. All lots of store cattle were sold at satisfactory figures. We quote:—Sheep—Ewes in lamb, best, 10s 7d, to 13s, others 4s 6d to 8s; hoggets, poor 4s lOd. Cattle — Light beef cows, £4 jss; empty cows, forward, £3 12s; to 4£yr bullocks, £4 12s 6d to £5 10s; cows in calf, £4 10s; cows in milk, £4 10s to £6 2s 6d.
