A return football match was played on the Mangatainoka Domain, this afternoon, between the Woodville and Mangatainoka Juniors, and resulted in a win for the home team by nine points to three. In the first spell McQuinn and Vowell scored tries for the winners, and J. Dungan kicked a penalty god in t-e sec nc'. Diggins scored for Woodville. The ground was fairly heavy, and the ball greasy, and militated against good passing. Mr K. Williams was a very satisfactory referee. The Puketoi Union will play a return against the match against the Bush on the 17th inst., at Mangatainoka, and in consequence all banner matches will be pushed forward a week. A keen tussle is expected between Koniai and Mangatainoka on the lattr's ground on Saturday next. Mr G. Chatwin has been appointed referee for this match.

Particulars of Mr Fiak's herd will be advertised in Saturday's issue of this paper. .Other dairy farmers in this district intend to add to their herds during the coming season. The hockey match between the ladies' team and Eketahuna has been postponed owing to Eketahuna not being able to get a team away. So far this season our girls have not lost a match. I understand they are to play a team from "Oete" at an early date.
