FUNERAL OF SIR W. WYLLIE. AN IMPRESSIVE SERVICE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright* Received July 7, 8.40 a.m. LONDON, July 6. At the funeral of Sir W. Wyllie, who, with Dr. Lalcaca, was murdered by an Indian student at the Imperial Institute, on Thursday last, there was an extraordinarily large attendance. An impressive service was held at St. Paul's Church, Onslow Square. King Edward, the Prince of Wales, the Prime Minister, Mr Asquith, and Lord Kitchener, Commander-in-Chief in India, were represented at the funeral. A RESOLUTION OF SYMPATHY. Received July 7, 8.25 a.m. LONDON, July 6. The Native Indian Association at Manchester has adopted a resolution of sympathy with the families ol the late Sir William Wyllie and Dr. Lalcaca, who were highly respected by the Indian community. A LIBEL ACTION. DAMAGES AGAINST A NEWSPAPER. Received July 7, 8.40 a.m. CALCUTTA, July 6. The newspaper "Englishman" has been cast in damages of one thousand pounds sterling for stating that Lajpat Rai has been deported for tampering with the loyalty of the sepoys.
