PARACHUTIST'S TERRIBLE FATE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received July 7, 8.40 a.m. NEW YORK, July 6. A parachutist at Portland, Maine, in the presence of five thousand spectators, fell a distance of five hundred feet, and was dashed to pieces.
