PERSONAL.
Mr Alf. Snowball, General Secretary of the local Y.M.C.A., and family arrived in Wellington yesterday by the Ulimaroa, and are expected to reach Masterton to-morrow niglit. Mr Snowball will speak on the great brotherhood movement in England at the Y.M.C.A. next Sunday afternoon. The capable secretary ot the Masterton Fire Brigade, Mr E. Fragnell, received a very cordial and welldeserved vote of appreciation for his services to the Brigade during the past year, at the annual meeting on Tuesday night Superintendent Jenkins, mad.: special reference to the secretary's tiiiciercy and popularity, remarks which were ~endors d by many others present.
