MATERFAMILIAS IN RELPY.
(To the Editor). . Sir,—The fact that "A Reader" has wandered from the influence of alcohol as a medicine upon infants to the evil effects of alcoholic abuse on parents and their offspring calls for little in reply from ' me. It is rather Surprising, however, that my personal experience "teaches nothing," while no doubt "A Reader's" pointless remarks and misleading statistics teach everything. It is enough, however, to sustain all that I • have contended when "A Reader" actually admits that he has two hundred and fifty {[doctors' replies stating that alcohol should only be administered under medical orders.—l am, etc., "MATERFAMfLIAS."
