The Grand National Huidle Race resulted as folows:— Fossil (Scobie) 1 Kalnuck (Cosgrove) 2 * . Old Nick (Woodburn) 3 - All'the acceptors started. Rogue's March was in front at the first hurdle, followed jby Sun, Knotted " Circulas and Old Nick. A little later Sun took charge from Circulas. Entering the. straight the leading hordes were Sun, Enchanted States, Fossil, who'were together, and were followed by Old Chappie, Knotter, Old Nick and Kalnuck. Opposite the lawn Enchanted States -and Circulas fell. Knotter joined Fossil along the river side; showing the way to Sun, Old Chappie, Kalnuck and Kulkerna, the rest being strung out. At the four furlongs jwst Kulnuck went into second place to Fossil, the next being Old Nik, who entered the straight on even terrris. A great racejhome resulted in Fossil winning -by length. Old Nick was four lengths away„ Wooloomooloo was fourth, and then came Woollara, Rogue's March and Sun, while Togo and Waipu were among the ruck. Time, smin 52£ sec.
