LOAN PROPOSALS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. HASTINGS, July 3. A special meeting" of the Borough Council resolved to ask the ralepayers to sanction the following loans:—£4o,ooo to harness the Tuki Tuki River to generate electric power for pumping water to the reservoirs on the Havelock hills and to supply electnc light and power .to consumers; for £30,003 for fewer extension: and £13,000 for footpaths and roads.
