Acceptances for the F=rst Day's Events will close with the Secretary at the office of the Club, Marton, on Tuesday, 24th August, 1909, at 7.30 p.m , and for the Second Day's Events at the same place at 9 o'clock on the evening of tho First Day. • RULES. All races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing, The winner of any race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 71b; of two or more races, 101b. A Hunter is a horse whose owner can produce at scales a certificate from the Master of any Hunt that the horse has been ridden with the hounds dnring the past season to tho satisfaction oE the Master, and has neither won nor is nominated at the date of entry for the race of £4O or over-Hack a,nd -Hunter races excepted.
