Nominations for ali events will close at the Secretary's Office, Mai ton, on Fhiday, 13th August, at7.3t) p.m. Weights for the First Day's Events will be declared on or before Wednesday, 18th August, 1909, and for the Second Day's Events at the Office of the Club at 8 p.m. on the evening of the First Day. Acceptances for the TVrst Day's Events will close with the Secretary at the office of the Club, Marton, on Tuesday, 24th August, 1909, at 7.30 p.m., and for the Second Day's Events at the same place at 9 o'clock on the evening of the First Day. RULES. SAll races to be run under the New Zea](l Rules of Racing. The winner of any race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 7lb; of two or more races, 101b. A Hunter is a horse whose owner can produce at scales a certificate from the Master of any Hunt that the horse has been ridden with the hounds dnring the past season to the satisfaction of the Master, and has neither won nor is nominated at the date of entry for the race of £4O or over—Hack and Hunter races excepted, ARTHUR WAY, Secretary.
