The New Loan Jand MerCompany, Ltd., reportras"'folldw on their fortnightly :—The yarding in sheep was small. Entries were confined to ewes in lamb and hoggets. The quality was fairly good, all lots finding a ready sale under the hammer. In cattle we offieied a big catalogue, which embraced all classes. As with the sheep, we had spirited competition, and succeeded in effecting a clearance, the prices obtained being sound. Ewes in lamb ranged from 8s 6d to 9s 9d, medium hoggets Bs, small 5s 9d, 3 and 3&yr steers £5 to £5 10s, 2Jyr steers £4 to £4 12s 6d, 2yr olds £3, yearlings mixed 80s, small weaners 10s, best beef cows and heifers £5, cows £4 to £4 10s, forward cows £2 5s to £3, forward heifers £3, extra good dairy cows £7 to £7 17s 6d, late calvers £3 to £4 10s.
