CLOSING THE HOTELS.

The closing of various hotels affected by No-license or reduction votes took place this evening. There was little or no demonstration, although a good day's and evening's business as done at all the houses. At the Bricklayers' Arms Hotel the crowd was inclined to be a little rowdy.

WELLINGTON, June 30.

The hotels in Wellington South and Wellington Suburbs closed tp-night as a result of No-license being carried last November. The proceedings throughout,were orderly. At.one or two.hotels small crowds cheered the licensees and sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow." The police were present at each hotel to see that the provisions of the law were complied with
