PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that a Poll of Ratepayers will be taken on Friday, the 16th clay of July, 1909, on " a proposal of the Masterton Borough Council to borrow J the sum of £12,000 for the purpose of the Construction and Improvement of the Roads and Footpaths in the principal business and residental streets of the Borough, conditionally upon the combined rate of Interest and Sinking Fund not exceeding £(> per centum per annum, and for suchfpurpose to make an annually recurring special rate of 'SOpence in the £ upon the whole of the unimproved rateable property of the said Borough as security for the Interest and Sinking Fund in connection with the said Loan; the whole of the Loan is to be repaid on the 3ist day of December, 1942. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan monies the cost of raising the Loan and the first year's interest thereon." The Polling Booths are situated at The Drill Hail, Hal!
