Nominations for all events will close at the Secretary's Oll'ice, Marton, on Friday, 18th August, at 7.30 p.m. Weights for the First Day's Events will be declared on or before Wednesday, 18th August, 1909, and for the Second Day's Events at the Office of the Club at 8 p.m. on the evening of the First Day. Acceptances for the First Day's Events will close with the Secretary at the office of the Club, Marton, on Tuesday, 24th August, 1909, at 7.30 p.m., and for the Second Day's Events at the same place at 9 o'clock on the evening of the First Day. f£Ml races to be ran under the New Zealand Bules of Bacing. The winner of any race after declaration of "weights to carry a penalty of 71b; of two or more races, 101b. A Hunter.is a horse whose owner can produce at scales a certificate from the Master of any Hunt that the horse has been ridden with the bounds during the past' season to the satisfaction of the Master, and has neither won nor is nominated at the date of entry for the race of £4O or over— Hack and Hunter races excepted.
