A man was drowned in the flood waters at Tumberumba, and several sensational escapes have been reported. The river at Albury is still rising, and residents are seeking places of safety. Much stock has been washed away. RIVERS IN VICTORIA OVERFLOW. townshipsTsolated. GREAT DAMAGE DONE. MELBOURNE, June 26. Many miles of the Murray Flat are inundated.

The townships all along the higher reaches of the river are isolated. Great damage has been done to bridges and other property. Stockowners have been warned to remove the bulk of their stock.
