A DESPERATE CORNISHMAN.

BESIEGED IN A COTTAGE. Received June 25, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, June 24. Cecil Dench, who barricaded himself in a cottage at St. Blazey, in Cornwall, in April last, after shooting some boys, and was only arrested after a long siege, has been convicted of unlawfully wounding, and sentenced to six years' penal servitude. Dench pleaded guilty, and stated that he had been maddened by boys teasing him.
