AMUSEMENTS.
THE RUSSIAN EXILE.
Dr. Boranoff, the Russian Exile will again appear in the Town Hall, Maslerton, to-night, and further pourtray his experiences in Siberia, irom whence he escaped on three different occasions "at the Winter Palace," said Dr. Boranoff, to a Wellington reporter, when speaking of "Red Sunday," "the blood ran in streams through the snow," and the doctor shrugged his shoulders. "At the Winter Palace we were met by an enormous army, with artillery, neaded by the late Grand Duke Sergius, who did butcher's work for the cause of humanity. A volley of bullets was fired right into the crowd. Women and children "fell right and left. The snow was deep, and we all laid down. Then came another volley, and then a third. For fifteen minutes everything was quiet. As each roused himself and looked for his comrade, we saw the white snow red with blood,' D.r, Boranoff's experiences in Russia and Siberia are said to have been really appalling. The box plan is at Miss Rive's, and concessions are being granted to ladies, and also to schools. WEST'S PICTURES. West's Pictures will commence a season of two nights at the Town Hall, Masterton, on Saturday June 26th. During this season Mr West promises to submit something of more than ordinary interest in the series of "art studies" which he has secured from Pather Freres, the famous picture manufactures. Several of these studies will be presented with a comprehensive series of animated views showing the production cf the "Scotsman/' Scotland's great daily paper, the Czar of Bulgaria and his province. The details in connection with this display are particularly good. Nature studies, pictures of pageants, and national and s porting events are also among the attractions. The box plan is on view at Miss Rive's.
