Received June 22, 11.15 p.m. MONTREAL, June 22. <

The "Montreal Star" declares that the colonials after the recent review do not desire a baby navy of their own when they know it will only be of problematical use in Imperial Defence. The "Star" suggests that the Motherland should build, man, equip and manage the fleet, and Canada guarantee, the interest on them, expended in Canada's name, with favourable terms for Canadian recruits, Canada having the option of taking such ships on payment of the cost.
