Mr F. Mothes, recently master of Matahiwi School, Masterton, who has been appointed to the staff of the Fetone State School, will take up his duties on July Ist/'' A fress Association telegram from Dunedin announces the death of Mr John H. Morrison, aged 66. He was for many years manager of the Mosgiel Woollen Company, in fact, almost since the incorporation of the company. He was born in Midlothian, Scotland, and educated at Bathgate, Academy. The friends of Mr Whittaker, of Pine street, will regret to hear that he met! with a serious accident on Saturday afternoon, about 5.30 o'clock. He hcid driven his express into the yard, ac hi 3 house, and was getting off the vehicle when hi'* foot slipped on the step, and he fell heavily to the ground, breaking his right arm badly. He was taken to the Masterton Hospital, and is doing as well as can be expected.
