Mr Daniell said that the (lasses were of a decidedly practical value to the community. ,

Very Rev. iJean McKenna, in moving the adoption of the report, also remarked on the splendid attendance of the school. There was one matter, however, [;that he would like to draw the attention of the managers to, and that was the secretary's salary. He thought the sum of £45 per annum now paid was quite inadequate for the position, and would like to see the amount raised to £6O. He paid a high tribute to the services of Mr Bunting, who, he said, took a keen interest in the welfare of the instiution, at all times. He moved that the salary be increased as indicated.

This was seconded by Mr Daniell, who, in eulogising the work of the secretary, said that of the technical requirements of the school were most invaluable. Other members spoke in similar terms, and the motion was carried unanimously. On the motion of Mr Jackfon, it was decided that the teachers be asked to notify the pupils that the Managers would like to see a record attendance for the coming year.
