TRAINS IN COLLISION.
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONti. By Telegraph—Press Association. BLENHEIM, June 14. A collision occurred at the railway station this morning, between a goods train arriving from Picton and a passenger train waiting to be despatched to Seddon. When the driver of the Seddon -train saw that a collision was inevitable*, he moved his train slowly off, thereby lessening the force of the impact. However, serious damage as done to both trains, the carriages being badly smashed. The front plate of the Pictoti engine was stove in, and the guard over the cowcatcher torn off. There were several passengers in the Seddon train, including three ladies, one of whom — Mrs Andrews, of Flaxbourne—was severely cut about the face. The other passengers escaped with bruises and shock.
