The newspaper "Novoe Vremya" reports that the Shakhsenva tribesmen ara ravaging the Ardebil district in Persia, and have killed 5,000. The Russian consulate is crowded with refugees. An altercation at Salmas between the Turkish consul and the Persian gendarmerie lead to a fight. Seven Turkish soldiers were killed, and 20 captured. Twelve Persians were also killed.
