SUPPOSED INCENDIARISM.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WAIROA, June 12. What was apparently a deliberate tempt to ' burn down Winter's store ani bakery was made yesterday morning. It was found in the morning that during the night someone had ignited sheets of paper covering • goods. The paper all burnt out and ," the woodwork caught, but, owing to the absence of air in (he boxed-in space, it went out. The only access to the spot was by a small hols'made in a pane of glass. Had the fire gone " ahead, all the block to Oman's Hotel must have gone. There is no clue. Mr Winter had small insurances on a - heavy stock.
