METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.
MONTHLY MEETING OF TEACH EKS. The monthly meeting of Sunday School teachers and officers was held in the Young Men's class room last evening. There were present:—Rev. E. C. Porter (chairman), Irieesre C. E. Daniel), J. A, Donald, E. K. Wilson,. 0, Pragnell, J. Heyhoe, W. Donaldsor, G. Cresswell, Misses L. Church, E. Heyhoe, W. Daniell, M. Donald, and the secretary, Mr R. J. Mclver. The secretary reported as follows? Teachers on roll, 22; average attendance, 18, or 82 per cent. Scholars on roll, 273; average attendance, 196, or 72 per cent.— increase of 13 scholars during the month. Infant Class, on roll, 106-. » average attendance, 73, or 68 p cent. —increase of nine infants - ing the month. Young Men's '( jfaga on roll, 19; average attendar %q or 100 per cent. The secretary was inst«ic±ed to forward a letter of sympathy to a teacher, Mr Murray Jackson, who met with a serious bicycle accident recently. Mr J. Hey hoe was appointed supervisor for the Wellington Sunday School Union Scriptural examination, to be held in the schoolroom on Friday, July 2nd. The secretary was instructed to obtain birthday greetings cards for the scholars from the secretary of the Methodist Church Advisory I?oar:l. BAND OF HOPE. ■ The Methodist Band of Hope opened its 1909 session in the schoolroom last evening. Rev, C. E. Porter occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance of me r bers.
