ANTARCTIC EXPLORATION.
PERTH, June 5. News ha" been received by mail that the Royal Geographical Society has decided to send an expedition to the South Pole towards the end of this year, in chatge of Captain Valentine Webster, who has contributed ten thousand pounds towards the cost of the expedition. The exploring party, which will probably be known as the "Daily Telegraph" South Polar Expedition, expects to leave New Zealand, following the route adopted by Lieutenant Shackleton.
