AUSTRALIA V. LEICESTER, j A DRAWN GAME. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph CopyriKisi. Received June 3, 9.20 a.m. LONDON, June?.. Further progress was made to-day with the cricket match Australia v. Leicestershire. A sodden wicket delayed the opening play till alter noon, and the wicket was very difficult when the game was resumed. M'AHster and Hartigan continued the visitors' innings. Runs came slowly, and the ninth wicket was down for 128. Hartigan, who was top scorer, obtained his runs in 75 minutes. He had a serviceable partnership with Whitty. The innings lasted 275 minutes, and closed with 182jruns—9U behind the county. j The Leicestershire team went in j for the second innings, and lost the j first wicket for 2. The game was J very slow. The third wicket fell at 24. Crawford and Coa, in a careful! partnership, raised the total to 75 before the fourth wicket fell. With j Crawford dismissed ten runs later, tne innings was declared closed. The Australians went in for the second time, but time did not allow the innings to be finished, and the game wa> drawn. Trumper scored 26 runs on a bad wicket, and carried out t his bat.
