STOCK MARKET.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report as follows on their fortnightly stock sale yesterday:—We held a fair average yarding in sheep, the bulk of the entries being ewes in Jamb. ' Bidding throughout was slow, the tone generally being weak, although before the close of the day we had made a clearance. In cattle, fhe quality of the entries was good, which fact enabled us to clear all prices at sound rates. tn sheep, best 2-tooth ewes in lamb made 14s, 2-tooth'to fresh mouth l lls to lis 3d, medium ewes 9s to 10s, fat ewes 9s 6d, fat ewes 8s 6d, aged ewes 4s to 6s, forward 2-tootb wethers 10s 9d, 3 and 4-year steers £5, 2 r years ! 60s to 655, yearlings 395, good station weaners 395, fat cows 80s, dairy cows close to profit £5 15s to £6. *
