A parachutist named Bidmead, while attempting a descent at Northampton, lost his parachute, and was carried away, hanging below his balloon, in the presen-ce of a thousand holiday-makers. He has net since been heard of. A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Received June 2„ 10.45 p.m. LONDON, June 2. Bidmead clung- for 90 minutes to a wooden ring attached to the cording of the balloon. He was exhausted when the balloon gradually dropped and alighted safely.
