RETURN DEMANDED BY GER- j MAN AUTHORITIES. j Received June 1, i 0.40 a.m. BRISBANE, June 1. The ketch Envoy recently brought here among her crew the Tobi Islandera, whose return is demanded by-tne German authorities. So far Captain Strachan, of the ketch, has refused to give them up. The German Government yacht Seestern is now waiting here for the natives. The captain of the Envoy telegraphed to the Federal Government —Will the Government permit the Germans to prevent me from taking the men to Britain to plead their case before tne Imperial Government?" The Federal Minister replied:— "The Government sees no other | course but for the men to return to Tobi. No assistance will be given to delay the return of the men to their hcme3."
