David Henderson, a well-known wealthy visitor from New York, while suffering from neurasthenia, suddenly went mad in a Paris hotel, in the presence of his wife and three daughters.
In a fit of delirium Mr Henderson shot his eldest daughter with a revolver and then committed suicide.
