WAIRARAPA LADIES' ASSOCIATION. •'II-IE AGE" CUP. , HUIA v. KIWI. The Huia and Kiwi teams met at Lansdowne, yesterday afternoon, an interesting game, of which Huia had considerably the best, resulting. Kiwi, for a young team, put up a plucky fight, and when they gain more experience should give a good account of themselves. Huia won by 4 eoals to nil, the scores being obtained by Misses Barr, Finnis, Richards and Dalryumple. ' Miss Finnis played a splendid game fjr the winners, and was well supported by Misses. Richards, Barr, Dalrymple,, La Roche and Ball. The Kiwi players were an even lot. Mr B. Iveson was referee. After the match the Huias entertained the Kiwis at afternoon tea at the Arcadia Tea Rooms, an excellent repast being provided and much appreciated. RAMLBERb v. HINEMOA. On the Showgrounds, yesterday afternoon, Ramblers defeated Hinemoa by 2 goals to 1 after a good exposition of hockey. The goals for the winners were scored by Misses Logan and Easthope. For the winners Misses K. O'Leary, Millar, Easthope, Kyle and O'Toole, were perhaps the pick, and for the losers Misses Molloy, Reid, Pull and Fisher did good work. Mr J. King was referee. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea after the match by the Ramblers. WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. SENIOR COMPETITION. CARTERTON v. KNOX. A Major Cup match was played on the Showgrounds, Masterton, yesterday afternoon, between Knox and Carterton Seniors; The match, which was a very fast and hard fought one, ended in favour of Carterton by 4 goals to 1. The game was fairly even in the first half, but Carterton showed the better staying powers, and their superior combination outclassed Knox. The goals were scored by Fisher (2),Tnnniclift'e and Morgan, for Carterton, and Clarke for Knox. Mr M. Mcintosh made an impartial referee, his decisions giving every satisfaction.
