Mahmud Shevket Pasha, Commander of the Third Army Corps., proposes to transfer Abd-ul-Hamid to Rhodes (a Turkish Island lying 12 miles off the southwest coast of Asia Minor). The people of Salonika are uneasy at the presence of the ex-Sultan.
