Tuesday. PAHIATUA FARMERS' ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Pahiatua Farmers' Association wa3 held in the Olympic Theatre, this afternoon. The report and balance-sheet was of a very satisfactory nature, and the profit and loss account showed a profit fcr the year of £93 3s lid, Messrs A. KnoXj A, Ross, A, McFarlane, C.
Avery, A. Yule, J. T. Marryiot and j. B. Whyte, were re-elected as directors lor the ensuing year, Mr McFarlane being elected chairman. Mr Hare was re-elected secretary and Mr G. Moore was elected auditor.
The meeting upheld the action of the directors in leasing the yards to Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., for a further term, the commission to be charged to be 4 per cent. It was decided to pay a bonus of 10 per cent, to the shareholders, and it was also decided to do away with the drafting race next to the cattle yards, and erect additional pens in its place.
A very pleasant social in aid of St. Mark's Church was Ik Id ii the Mangatainoka Library Hall last evening.
A hockey match between tha Konini and Kotoroa Ladies Hockey Clubs will take place on the local ground to-morrow afternoon. Considerable interest is being taken in the football match at Konini on Saturday next between the local team and Mangatalnoka, The follow-

Graham, S.M., was held this morning. A batch of offenders for riding bicycles on the Borough footpaths were fined ss, and 7s costs, and one for riding at night •without a light was fined 10s and 7s costs. For not sending their children io school regularly three parents were each fined 2s and 7s costs. Judgment for the plaintiffs was given in the following civil cases: —R. Bee v. C Lowe, cliim £1 18s 6d, costs, ss; Lily Anders on v. Thomas Hickley. £3 10s, costs 8s; same v. James Watkins, £3 10s, costs £1 ss; Mary Kuginer v. R. V. McGlone, £2, costs £1 lis. In the case Rouse and Hurrell v. T. Hawke, claim £7 123, defendant was ordered to pay £1 per month until the amount was paid off. > Messrs Dalgetv and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale in their Mangahao road yards to-day. There was a good attendance of buyers, and a fair entry of both sheep and cattle, both being in excess of advertised numbers. Competition was brisk, and a total clearance resulted. We also/offered and sold a team of bullocks, dray, and waggon, which realised £lO2, which was well within their value. They quote-Lambs, forward, 7s 6d, 7s 9d. 8s Id; f.m. ewes in lamb, to lis; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 10s 9d; cows in calf, backward condition, 34s to 395; cows in calf, fair condition, 44s to 50s; heifers in calf, 47s to 61s; 18-month steers. 40s to 525; weaners, mixed sexes, 23s to 275.
