Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly sale of wool, ski'is and hides on Friday last. They offered a good catalogue of all classes to the usual attendance of buyers. .Prices for practically everything were in sellers favour, and realised as follows:—Wool.—Merino, 7|d to B£d; merino pieces, 6|d to 7d; crossbred, 6Jd to 7|d; lambs, 4Jd to 6£d; pieces, 3Jd to 4id, dead, s|d to 6|d; crutchings. 2d to sd, black, sd. Skins.—Fine crossbred 6d to 7|d; shorts, srl to 5Jd; broken, 5Jd tDsfd; dead, s|d; pelts, lfd to 3Jd, lambs, 6|d, crossbred, damp, 2!s lOd to 4s; lambs, damp, 3s 7d; pickled pelts, 12s dozen •, crossbred salted, Is 6d to 4s 4d. Hides.—Heavy ox, sound, 72id to 7}d; cut, 6Jd to 6fd; medium ox, sound, 6d to 6|d; cut, s|d to Sid: slippy, 4gd to s|d; light ox, sfd, con, medium. sjjd to sfd, ciit, 4gd; stag, cut, 3gJ; calf, best, 7d to 7|d, inferior, 4|d to s§d; tails Is 7d per dozen; horns, 6s 6d per 100. Tallow.—ln casus, 21s. 6d. to 245. In tins and drums, 20s 3d to 20s 9d.
