HOCKEY.
The Ramblers Club will hold a practice on the Showgrounds, this morning and to-morrow morning*
The following are the fixtures and referees for Thursday next in connection with the Wairarapa Ladies' Association:—Carterton vi Ramblers, on the Showgrounds; referee, Mr J. King. Huia v. Dalefield; referee, Mr E. Iveson. A meeting of the Huia Hockey Club held in St. Matthew's Schoolroom, last evening, was well attended. Votes of thanks were passed to Mrs H. Watson (President) and Mr J. Macara and Rev. Raine (VicePresidents) for donations. Arrangements were made for the team to journey to Wellington on June 3rd, and play a team from the Wellington Ladies' Club.
