Jeffries has definitely decided to meec J. Johnson (the present champion), and expects to be his old self again after a year's training. He has already reduced his weight by 33 pounds, and is steadily regaining form. Mr Mcintosh states that he has deposited with the "New York Journal" 5,000 dollars on behalf of Tommy Burns (the ex-champion) challenging any- man in the world, especially Johnson, to a boxing contest.
