WAIRARAPA HUNT CLUB.
MEET AT itPPER OPAKI. A most enjoyable meet of the members of the Wairarapa Hunt Club was held yesterday afternoon, at Upper Opaki, there being a very good attendance. The weather was splendid, and a capital day's sport was experienced. Only one "spill" occurred, when Mr Kennedy, who rode Case Whisky, came down at a fence. No damage to the horse or however, and they continued to participate in the sport after the mishap. The drag was laid I from Mr Pierce Cotter's property across Mr Fendall's, and on to Matahiwi. The kill took place at Mr W. H. Buick's, "Daisyburn," where the hostess provided the company with afternoon tea. After this pleasant I proceeding three hearty cheers were given for Mr and Mrs Buick. Those who took part in the hunt were: —Messrs H. Welch, Master, onKahukura; B. Vallance, on Pennant; H. Douglas, on Haka; C. Bennett, on Tiana; H. Falloon, on Firestick; W. Douglas, on Atarangi; G. Mason,, on Caroline; J. Nichols, on Korarau; H. Hodgf, on Oblivion; W. Lett, en Laddie; W. Carrick, on Wowser; A. Kennedy, on Case Whisky; A. Hosking, on Tui.
